Our prediction for the MCD election results 2012

Counting of votes for the MCD polls held on 15th April 2012 will be done tomorrow (17th April 2012). According to the State Election Commission, a total of 55 per cent of the 1.15 crore strong electorate had cast their ballots in the polls held on Sunday.

We believe BJP will get clear majority in the elections.  This is our guess for the MCD in whole consisting 272 wards in entire delhi.  

As the MCD is going to be bifurcated into 3 parts, North, South & East, our guesses for probability of majority in respective zones is that BJP will win both North & South consisting 100 & 108 wards respectively and there are slight chances of Congress winning the East part of MCD consisting 64 wards.

There are few heavyweight candidates in BJP which are almost unbeatable for Congress or any other party.  They include wife of Delhi BJP Chief Vijender Gupta, Dr. Shobha Vijender from Rohini (Central), Dr Mahender Nagpal from Wazirpur, Rekha Gupta from Pitampura (North).
